Jackie Tenant

From an early age, I was fortunate enough to watch my grandmother follow her passion and talents as a professional seamstress. Watching her work sparked my love for sewing and fueled my passion for all things handmade. Growing up, I was involved in various creative pursuits, including 4H, photography, crocheting, painting, music, theatre, and graphic design.

Eventually, I graduated from UW-Whitewater with a bachelor's degree in graphic design and a minor in theatre. While working as a seamstress part-time, I also pursued graphic design for a few years. However, I eventually decided to start my own business, Handmade by Jackie. Which I ran part-time until late 2021, when I welcomed my daughter into the world and decided to transition to working full-time. In the middle of 2022, I officially became a full-time seamstress and haven't looked back since.

I am so grateful to be able to pursue my dream and work with so many amazing clients, both new and returning. Thank you for joining me on this journey and for supporting my business. I look forward to altering your garments and creating beautiful handmade pieces for you.
